A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Dayo Adeyeye, has mourned the death of a member of Ekiti State’s House of Assembly, Hon. Juwa Adegbuyi, who died in the capital city, Ado Ekiti, on Thursday.
The Ise Ekiti born former Minister of State for Works, Adeyeye, condoled the APC family in Ekiti State, the entire members of the legislative arm of the State and the people of Ekiti East Constituency 1, where the deceased hailed from.
Sen. Adeyeye noted in a statement signed by his Media Manager, Gboyega Adeoye, that the impact of the departed lawmaker would be felt by all, especially by his party, the APC, in the state.
“I sincerely commiserate with the family of the late Hon Juwa Adegbuyi, members of the legislative arm of the Ekiti State government, the entire APC family and people of Ekiti State, over the passing of this promising politician and lawmaker, whose contributions to the development of the state and nation, will always be remembered.
“I received with shock the rude news of the death of this illustrious son of Ekiti, Juwa, who served in Ekiti State House of Assembly as a lawmaker and who had been steadfast and consistent in his progressive views, and working assiduously for the good of our great party, the All Progressives Congress.
“As he bows out, I believe he left at a crucial moment when the party and Ekiti State, needed his contribution to heal, and grow our party to righteousness. His absence will be sorely felt by all of us, particularly in the State’s APC family.
“I pray that the Almighty God will comfort the family of the former lawmaker, and grant him a peaceful rest”, the statement read.
Hon. Adegbuyi who represented Ekiti East Constituency 1, died on Saturday after a brief illness.
He died barely one year and seven months after he was inaugurated as a lawmaker to represent his constituency on a four-year mandate.
Sen Adeyeye however urged those he left behind to take solace in the fact that Adegbuyi lived a good life and left a legacy of selfless service to the state.
