Confusion in Kogi Poly as student suddenly goes ‘crazy’, stabs roommate/bestfriend to death

A HND student of the Kogi state Polytechnic, Akoh Abuh Samuel, has been stabbed to death by his best-friend and roommate, Agba Victor, in strange circumstances

The suspect, Agba, reportedly suddenly went crazy before committing the gruesome act, and claims not to know what had gotten into him

The deceased died on the way to the hospital, and the case has now been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department of the Lokoja police command

A HND student of the Kogi state Polytechnic, Agba Victor, has allegedly stabbed his roommate and friend, Akoh Abuh Samuel, to death, The Sun reports.

Both students had been best friends since their National Diploma days.

The drum online gathers that the deceased, of the Department of Public Administration, and a fellow HND student, was brutally attacked with a machete by his roommate on Tuesday night, December 12, and lost his life as he was being transported to a hospital.

Before the ugly incident occurred, the attacker, Agba, had reportedly suddenly lost his mind and started acting strangely.

He claimed that he did not know what had gotten into him and compelled him to commit the gruesome act.

The institution’s public relation officer, Luke Yakubu, informed journalists that the suspect had suddenly started exhibiting the strange behavior on Sunday night.

He stated: “When the late roommate and neighbors discovered this strange behavior coming from Victor, they took him to the church for prayers.

“They were best of friends since their National Diploma days and also attend the same fellowship. Later that night, nature caught up with the deceased, and his friend used machete to kill him.

“After he exhibited this act, he told us that he threw the cutlass inside a well. He even came back to the room where the incident occurred without running away.

“The Police is still carrying out their investigation, because he was not mad when he gained admission into our institution. All this so called strange behavior started on Sunday.”

The case has now been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department of the Lokoja police command.

In a related development, it previously reported that at the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Ekewan campus in Benin, Edo state, two ladies were reported to have beaten themselves over an alleged boyfriend snatching mess.

One of the ladies identified as Becky was said to have stabbed the other lady on the head and left her battling for her life.

However, people who witnessed the scene disclosed that they were not sure what exactly the two ladies were fighting for but concluded saying it was either over a boy or wrapper.
