A security expert, the Retired Brigadier-General Basiru Abiodun Adewinmbi has identified synergy between Nigeria and other neighbouring countries as best option of tackling terrorism in the country.
The Brigadier-General Adewinmbi, rtd made this known during a chat with newsmen in his Ede Country Home, Osun State on Monday, while speaking on the efforts of government in the fight against terrorism.
He called on government not to relent in training military on best strategies to combat terrorism in line with global best practice.
The Security Expert, said the military had succeeded in dispersing the terrorists from Shabisa forest saying the terrorist has no breathing space to operate again in the nation.
The Retired Brigadier-General, maintained that the present administration was committed to the fight against insurgency hence the need for stakeholders in security sector to support government in the fight.
The Ede born retired Top Military Officer, emphasised the need for Nigerians to be more security conscious and form the habit of giving security agents necessary information to combat crime.
