President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Kano state on a two day working visit, the presidency has confirmed.
The president left the Aso Rock Villa Abuja in a helicopter in the morning of Wednesday, December 6, accompanied by top officials of his government.
The presidency also confirmed that he arrived the state where he is expected to commission some projects built by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
The Nigeria Police Force, Kano command, had in a statement to the people of the state, asked parents to warn their wards against unruly behaviour while the president remained in the state.
“It is unequivocal that the people of Kano state will turn out en-mass to showcase their affection for the Mr President. Thus there will be mammoth crowd to welcome and cheer our president.
“All critical stakeholders and parents are hereby enjoined to advise their wards to emulate the virtues of good behaviour with a view to according our President a rosy welcome to the state,” the statement personally signed by the commissioner of police, Rabiu Yusuf.
The statement said police officers and other security agencies would ensure adequate security arrangements in the state.
“Thus, the command will not hesitate to decisively deal with any unruly behaviour on the part of any body or group that may foment trouble before, during and after the state visit,” the statement said.
