American Airlines Flight Diverted After Passenger ‘Smokes Pot’

An American Airlines flight was reportedly forced to make an ’emergency landing’ after a passenger reportedly began smoking marijuana mid-flight.

A video has been posted on social media appearing to show a passenger lighting up a cigarette before being detained.

The video was shared on Twitter with the caption: “Someone’s smoking pot on @AmericanAir flight to #minneapolis #americanairlines.”

Speaking to LADbible, a spokesperson for American Airlines said: “American Airlines Flight 2408 from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) diverted to Denver International Airport (DEN) due to a disruptive passenger. Law enforcement met the flight, and the aircraft re-departed.

“Thank you to our crew members for taking care of our customers during this situation.”
