The Founder and President of Oduduwa University, Ile-Ife, Chief Rahmon Adedoyin has called for synergy between the University and Security agencies to ensure security of lives and property in the institution.
Chief Adedoyin who stated this on Wednesday when he led management of the University on a courtesy visit to the Assistant Inspector General, AIG of Police, Zone 11, AIG Agboola Oshodi-Glover in Osogbo.
The President of Oduduwa University, said security was key to sustenance of peace in the university hence the need for management of the institution to seek collaboration with relevant agency.
He noted that the institution would continue to seek support of relevant stakeholders with a view to making the university symbol of emulation in the country.
Chief Adedoyin assured the Police Chief that University would continue to put the character of the students to test before admission to avoid crisis in the institution.
The president of the university who hinted that the university had been producing graduates who were worthy in both character and learning submitted that the institution was committed to manpower development.
Speaking, the Assistant Inspector General of police, assured the management of the institution to provide adequate security for the university.
Mr Oshodi-Glover said Police would continue to safeguard lives and property of citizenry through effective policing.
He urged members of the public to always support Police officers by giving them necessary information to aid their operations.
The AIG, Zone 11, commended the founder of the university, Chief Adedoyin for his ingenuity and perseverance in promoting peaceful co existence in his domain through partnership with security agencies in the state.
