The Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Ibadan the Capital city of Oyo State has affirmed the election victory of Sen. Lekan Balogun as the authentic Senator representing the Oyo Central Senatorial District.
Speaking during the proceedings today 10th September Justice Sambo Daka who spoke onbehalf of three member panels said the petitioner Oyo All Progressive Congress and Senator Abiola Ajimobi lack evidence to show and convince the panel that the election was mal with series of irregularities during the voting period.
Counsel to defendant, Bar. Isiaka Abiola Olagunju said ” this judgement shows that the people of Oyo Central Senatoral district genuinely cast their votes for Sen. Kola Balogun, and that the election that brought him into office is devoid of any irregularities, it is free and fair, it is free from all forms of election mal practice. He said
