The Federal High Court has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to stop the counting of results in the Rivers State Governorship and House of Assembly elections results.
INEC had last week said it was going to go ahead with the counting of results from 17 local government areas of the state.
This was after stopping the entire process of the March 9, 2019 elections.
The suit that led to Tuesday’s stoppage of the counting process was filed by the African Action Congress, with INEC and the Peoples Democratic Party as respondents.
Other plaintiffs in the suit are Engr. Biokpomabo Festus Awara and Dr. Ben-Gurion John Peter.
