The Comptroller for Oyo/Osun Customs Command, Comptroller Abdullahi Zulkifli has disclosed that the command has generated the sum of N23, 878,395,911.8k from January to July 2019.
He made this disclosure today 7th August during a press briefing at the Command Headquarters in Ibadan.
While breaking down the analysis on the generated sum, Comptroller Zulkfli said three thousand, two hundred and fifty two (3,252) 50kg bags of imported parboiled rice with Duty paid value put at fourty seven million, nine hundred and seventy nine thousand, six hundred and seventy seven naira. N47, 979, 677.00.
“Three hundred and nineteen (319) of 25 liters keg of vegetable oil with Duty paid value at three million, one hundred and ten thousand, eight hundred and eighty eight naira, (N3.110,888.00).
” thirty six (36) bales of second hand clothings with Duty Paid Value at Three million, six hundred and eighty five thousand, nine hundred and twenty naira (N3,685,920.00).
“Sixty one (61) pieces of used Tyres with Duty Paid Value at Four hundred and eighty five thousand, nine hundred and fifty four naira(N485,954.00).
” One used blue Peugeot 406 with Duty Paid Value at Eight hundred and seventy nine, three hundred and ninety naira(N879,390.00)
“One used ash colour Toyota Corolla with Duty Paid Value at one million, nine hundred and three thousamd, six hours ndred and twenty eight naira(N1,903,620.00).
” one used black Toyota Sequa with Duty Paid Value at Seven million, eight hundred and seventy five thousand, four hundred and twenty eight naira(N7,875,428.00).
“One used white color Toyota Highlander with Duty Paid Value at sixteen million, three hundred and fifty three thousand, one hundred and eighty two naira(N16,353,182).

Comptroller Zulkfli noted that the total Duty Paid Value put at One hundred and five million, ninety seven thousand, five hundred and twenty nine naira (N105,097,529.00).
However, the Comptroller said thirty five (35) suspects have been arrested in connection with the seizures, while five have been charged to court, others are on bail.
He further urged the general public to desist from smuggling, ” my message to the general public is that smuggling is an I’ll wind that blows nobody any good, stay away from it, and do not aid and abeit it.” He concluded
