Grammy-winning Nigerian music superstar Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, will headline the opening night of the 2026 Detty December Festival in Lagos.
Wizkid is scheduled to perform on the main Festival Stage, marking the beginning of the 13-day celebration of music, culture, food, fashion and entertainment.
The organisers will also introduce a second performance platform, known as the Pulse Stage, which will provide opportunities for emerging artists, new sounds and promising talents shaping the future of African music.
The expanded festival is expected to feature a broader mix of music, cultural experiences and entertainment activities.
The previous edition attracted more than 40,000 festivalgoers and featured performances from international and African music stars, including Busta Rhymes, Gunna, Shenseea, Tiwa Savage, Diamond Platnumz, Phyno, Wande Coal, Fave, Young John, Wizkid to Headline Opening Night of 2026 Detty December Festival
