The Nigerian Medical Association,(NMA) decries the increase of quackery among the Medical Practitioners all over the country, stating that it will set up anti-quackery team to check the unscrupulous act.
This was made known yesterday 17th july by the Chairman of NMA Oyo State Chapter, Dr. Akin Sodipo at a press briefing to kick-start the 2019 scientific conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association in Ibadan.
While lamenting the insecurity in the country, the chairman stressed that the association is stepping up sensitisation of her members on security tips to escape insecurity, and further lamented the deplorable health sector in Oyo State which he said must be revived to have a healthy populace.
He however said that the association strive unsuccessfully to ensure health facility and monitoring accreditation were established during the administration of the immediate past Governor of the State Senator Abiola Ajimobi, urging Governor Seyi Makinde to ensure only qualified people run hospitals in the state.
