The Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP has condemned in totality the All Progressives Congress, APC Osun Stste over the statement issued by it’s Director of Publicity, Kunle Oyatomi allegedly aimed at covering up the illegality of the INEC and judicial lapses on Osun governorship election, saying it’s should be liking to the annulment of Chief MKO Abiola’s election.
Condemning the statement which the PDP described as baseless in a statement issued by Ademola Adeleke Campaign Organization and signed by it’s Director, Akogun Lere Oyewumi copies of which made available to Journalists in Osogbo, the state capital on Saturday, INEC’s action in declaring a concluded election on September 22, 2018 as inconclusive was an annulment, totally duplicitous, constitutionally illegal, ultra-vires and as such null and void.
The statement said, ” Its crystal clear that Osun indigens are in sobriety of subverting their will and the mandate freely given to Sen. Ademola Adeleke”.
“Our consolation at this time is that the people of Osun, as well as Gboyega Oyetola, All Progressive Congress and the whole world knew Sen. Ademola Adeleke and the Peoples Democratic Party won Osun governorship election but was robbed by the clutches of mindless and heartless vampires and election riggers.”.
” If it took Chief MKO Abiola 26year to be vindicated, God being God, the true story shall be told someday by those who orchestrated the theft. We must be reminded that those who specializes in destruction of other’s efforts will find their own destruction awaiting them ahead”. The statement added.
The statement however urged the Peoples Democratic Party and the teeming supporters to remain resolute and do not despair, urging them to remain calm and do everything to keep the peace.
” Let’s renew our determination in the face of this insult to our democracy and common sense. It is inevitable that change shall come and we shall bring it fairly, democratically and peacefully. Each time, they will be defeated by the power of our commitment to a new day in Osun state and a new democratic Nigeria” the statement concluded.
