The Oyo State Police divisional headquarters Eleyele has reprimanded two men namely Abdullahi Basiru and Adekola Martin who were caught with two human skull in Osun State, Nigeria.
This was made known today 12th July by the Commissioner of Police Shina Olukolu while addressing journalists and also paraded criminals to the public.
Abdullahi and Adekola both Male were caught by the patrol team attached to Ikoyi Ile/Ogbomosho road led by Inspector Benjamin Olayiwola along Oja funi area Ede in Osun State. According to Abdullahi, he said that he was sent by one Alhaji in Ede to get the human skull for him ” I don’t know his name but I call him Alhaji, he sent me to go and get something from Semiu in Ede. On getting there, I was given the bag I left the place but was stopped on the road by the police.”
Meanwhile his partner Adekola who was arrested alongside Abdullahi said that he was not aware of the fact that his partner had human skull in the bag.
“I followed him on his bike and on getting there, he went away with Semiu for over thirty minutes. He eventually came back and brought a bacco bag and I asked him what was inside the bag and he said it contained food for his children, and we moved on. We got to the police check point only for them to search us and the skulls were found in the bag.” I am innocent of this crime he lamented.
In the same vein, the police also paraded four young boys from a secret society called the Eiye Confraternity namely Durodola Olamide, Femi Aluko, Faroyeje Ayanfe and George Ifeanyi. They were caught in an hotel in Oyo town where they converged to initiate new members into the secret cult. Five Aiye customized beret caps, one full aiye customised regalia and some weeds which were suspected to be Indian hemp were recovered from the cultists. Upon interrogations, they confessed to be members of the said group and were gathered at the hotel where they were arrested to perform initiation rites for their new members.
One Tajudeen Olalere(50years) a security man in a school was also paraded for defiling girls in the school and this has been happening for years. The cat was let out of the bag when he wanted to defile another girl aged 16years but she raised alarm and the situation was managed. Upon interrogations by the criminal investigation department, it was discovered that the security man had defiled about six female students between the ages of 15-16 years respectively.
It was also revealed that the security man enters the classroom forcefully and intimidates the female students by chanting some incatations, he would thereafter seize their properties, the female student will thereafter follow him to his post and he will give them water to drink and use his hand to slap their chest and back before asking them to remove their dresses and have sexual relations with them after which he would instruct them not to tell any teacher.
According to Tajudeen, he said all the accusations were a lie ” I didn’t do all what I am being accused of, the child in question was asked if I had anything to do with her and she said no, but later on they brought other girls whom I don’t even know and they said I forcefully laid with them.” He concluded
The Commissioner of Police in his earlier remark adviced young people to stay away from crimes. “My advice goes to the young ones out there, crime does not pay and anyone caught will pay for the crimes committed.
Olukolu also appealed to the public to cooperate with the police in ensuring lives and properties and also to those in the rural area to get vital information to the policemen on ground in the vicinity and such matters will be attended to promptly.
He reiterated further that the public do not need to get to the Commissioner of Police before they report issues that needs to be promptly attended to.
” members of the public do not need to get to the CP alone, numbers of detectives in their localities are active. Men are on shift duties to pick calls at all times, we have two emergency lines in the police command where matters are attended to.” He said
