Celine Dion is thanking her fans for “keeping me in your hearts” in a touching New Year’s message.
In an Instagram Reel, the Canadian pop star told her 9.5 million followers that she hopes they find “laughter in the little things” in the coming year.
“As we welcome this new year, I want to take a moment to send you all my love. May this year bring you good health, happiness and peace in your heart,” Dion, 57, said in her video.
“I hope you find laughter in the little things, strength in the hard times and joy in the memories you create with those you love,” the My Heart Will Go On singer continued.
Dion expressed her gratitude to well-wishers as she continues to battle Stiff-Person Syndrome (SPS), a debilitating ailment she was first diagnosed with in 2022.
“From my family to yours, I just want to wish you, a happy new year,” she ended her message as she blew a kiss at the camera.
“May the 2026 year bring peace to your heart, light to your path, and space to dream,” Dion captioned her post.
Dion got into the festive spirit as the Grinch
In the lead-up to the holidays, Dion shared another festive video in which she recreated a scene from the classic Christmas movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
In the viral clip, Dion appeared in a Grinch costume while singing her hit song All By Myself.
“The nerve of those Whos. Inviting me on such short notice. Even if I wanted to go, my schedule wouldn’t allow it,” she said, sitting by a fireplace with a dog on her lap wearing reindeer horns.
“Four o’clock, exercise my voice. 4:30, wake my children up. 5, solve world hunger, tell no one. 5:30, jazzercize. 6:30, dinner with me, I can’t cancel that again! 7, wrestle with my creative ideas. I’m booked!” she joked in character.
“Of course if I bumped my creative ideas to 9, I’ll still have time to lay in bed and scroll TikTok videos endlessly. Or, I can just simply wish everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Boring!” Dion added, before ending with another line from All By Myself.
“Silent night? Not on my watch…” she captioned her post.
Music icon still plotting a return to the stage
As she welcomed in 2025 one year ago, Dion shared an inspirational message in which she reflected on her comeback amid her battle with SPS.
“Your love and energy inspire me every day. I wish you all a joyful holiday season filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished moments with loved ones,” Dion wrote alongside a photo of herself looking up and holding her hands up in prayer.
In 2024, Dion returned to the stage for the first time since being diagnosed with SPS when she performed Hymne A L’Amour at the opening ceremony for the Paris Olympics.
Symptoms of Dion’s affliction mimic the characteristics of other ailments such as Parkinson’s Disease or multiple sclerosis. The muscle spasms associated with SPS sometimes appear out of the blue and can be triggered by loud noise or emotional distress, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
In addition to her live performance, Dion also released a film that documented her struggle with SPS.
Following her return to the limelight, the music icon told Vogue France that she’s committed to returning to the stage and performing live again.
“The way I see it, I have two choices. Either I train like an athlete and work super hard, or I switch off and it’s over, I stay at home, listen to my songs, stand in front of my mirror and sing to myself. I’ve chosen to work with all my body and soul, from head to toe, with a medical team. I want to be the best I can be,” she said.
