Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has hosted Peter Obi, a chieftain of the Labour Party (LP), to a breakfast meeting at his residence in Adamawa state.
In a video posted on his X handle on Saturday, Abubakar is seen with the LP presidential candidate in the 2023 election, walking into a dining area of his house.
In May, Abubakar hosted Obi at his residence in Abuja sparking rumours of a possible alliance between both politicians ahead of the 2027 election.
Abubakar was vice-president between 1999 and 2007.
He was the standard-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 and 2023 presidential elections — losing out in both polls.
Obi was his running mate in 2019.
Obi, who was a member of PDP, joined the LP in 2022 — about seven months before the 2023 elections.
In May, Abubakar said he will “keep contesting” for the Nigerian presidency as long as he is hale and hearty.
The politician, who is 78-years-old, will be 81 by the time the next presidential election comes around in 2027.
Abubakar has run for the number one office six times, but has been on the ballot as a presidential candidate on three occasions — 2007, 2019, and 2023.
