The Nigeria Labour Congress has commenced its planned protest against subsidy removal across Nigeria.
In Lagos, the organised labour assembled at Ikeja under-bridge earlier in the morning and are currently marching to the state House of Assembly.
The procession has resulted in a gridlock in the area.
The NLC had asked the Federal Government to “immediately deal decisively with the criminal content of subsidy instead of exposing ordinary citizens to avoidable pain and hardship.
The presidential candidate for African Action Congress in the 2023 General Elections, Omowole Sowore, could also be sighted at the protest.
Also in Kano, Abeokuta and Abuja, the NLC and its allies are marching against subsidy removal.
In Abuja, the NLC has marched from Unity Fountain to the national assembly at the Abuja three Arms zone to be addressed by the Senate President.
