Ahead of the maiden edition of the drum festival (Ayan-Agalu Festival ) which is slated to hold in Canada, July, 2023, His Royal Majesty, Oba Alayeluwa Saheed Ademola Elegushi (Kusenla III), Elegushi of Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom,
Ikate, has joined the numbers of eminent personalities who have earlier on shown interest and given their support to grace the festival.
Oba Elegushi, who happens to be one of the topnotch monarchs of Lagos State and Nigeria will, apart from gracing the festival as Royal Host, also be honored with an award of Excellence.
The culturally stimulating festival holds at Fuzion Banquet Hall, 1300 Britannia Road E, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, 8pm, themed, “Rejigging Yoruba Cultural Heritage as Catalyst for National Unity, Progress and Development – The Ayangalu Example”.
In a letter written to Oba Elegushi by Prince Segun Akanni, the publisher of The Drum Media Inc and The Convener of The Drum Festival in Canada, he stated that Oba Elegushi deserves the award as a way of his recognizing and appreciating his compelling developmental strides in the spheres of healthcare enlightenment, modern and effective road networks, well-structured housing scheme, cultural preservation and other impactful initiatives in his domain. We are exceptionally thrilled to present an Award of Excellence on Tradition and Culture to him at the event. Akanni said.
