Segun Akanni, Toronto, Canada The Senate on Tuesday approved the probe of the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, over the alleged importation of a Jeep without paying Customs duty.
Saraki has been accused of failure to pay duties on the vehicle to the Nigeria Customs Service.
It was alleged that this accounted for why the Senate has ordered the Comtroller General of the NCS, Colonel Hameed Ali, to appear before it.
The decision to probe Saraki followed a Point of Order raised by Senator Ali Ndume at plenary on Tuesday.
