Nigerians, including residents of Osun State have been enjoin to exercise patience, and support the government of the day in all its policies, stressing that the future is bright for the nation.
A business mogul, Mr Abiodun Olaore Raifu made this known during an interaction with Journalists in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
Raifu, said we should all understand that the rot of decades can not be corrected in a jiffy if truly we want genuine change that is long-lasting and sustainable.
Raifu, who described the gesture of corporate social responsibility as an important altitude for every business owner to develop as a way of giving back to the society noted that, “there is need for us as private individuals to support the government to right all the wrongs of the past”.
Raifu, who is the Chairman, Mobil Stopover in Ogo-Oluwa area, Osogbo, explained that society could not attain enviable level of economic progress and social advancement if there is no complementary contribution from the people, especially private business owners to support efforts of the government as the government cannot do it alone.
Raifu, disclosed that the original motive for his array of investments in the state was to help the society which has given much to him in all ways.
According to him, the business environment in any business determines its success and level of profit-margin, adding that the peaceful atmosphere in Osun makes the business environment more conducive despite the harsh economy.
” I believe corporate social responsibility is mandatory for private investors operating within the shore of Nigeria, especially in this economic recession in order to facilitate a quick recovery.
“That is exactly what has informed my business interest in the state, I am convinced that I need to give back to the society which has given me so much in all ramifications.
” This is also the rationale behind the Raffle Draw Promo, in which we are given out Minibuses, generators, motorcycles and other house appliances as a way of saying thank you to our teeming customers, especially the town commercial drivers, who have been patronising us in the last 9 months.
“I believe there is need to compensate and motivate them to do more”, he said.
Meanwhile, the Raffle Draw has been fixed for November 7, to celebrates the one year anniversary of the station.
