Nigerian Miners has been admonished to key into electronic mining cadastral programme for the ease of doing business and to harness more income, transparency, efficiency for effective service delivery.
Managing director/Director General of Disc electronic system who spoke to at a Sensitization Workshop for stakeholders on adoption of the electronic Mining Cadastre-eMC in Jos Plateau State capital, Wednesday, said the programme will go a long in addressing the socio-economic wellbeing of Miners as well as loopholes in Nigerian mining sector.
He said mining activities is a process which involves the land owners, host communities, traditional rulers and the Government.
According to him, “Well, the benefits for the electronic mining Cadastral which we started the sensitization nationwide, the benefits like I said we started in Jos being one of the zone and then we can be able to go round the six geopolitical zones prior to the unveiling which is coming up during the mining international week, Nigerian mining week first to third in Abuja.
“The benefits of the disc electronic system is at the end of the day it cost down a lot of travel term, it create transparency, efficiency, and most importantly people don’t have to come from Australia, they don’t have to come from Canada, they don’t have to come from Mangu, they don’t have to come from Maiduguri, they don’t have to come from anywhere.
