Osun State Assets Management Agency (O-SAMA) was set up to ensure proper management and maintenance of State assets so as to provide enduring public facilities and infrastructure for all citizens of the State.
It is also with the motive for having a State with sustainable and qualitative assets, public facilities that support social and economic growth and development.
These were the submissions of the Acting Executive Secretary, State of Osun Assets Management Agency (O-SAMA) Town Planner Niyi Olanipekun while speaking with journalists in his office on Wednesday.
He added that efforts are in top gear to provide a uniform management framework for sustainability, efficiency and proper accountability in the use and management of government assets.
He pointed out that, it is the onerous duty of everyone in the society; civil / public servants in the State to value every Government Assets noting that management and maintenance of public assets is also a civic duty.
Town Planner Niyi Olanipekun maintained that, the Agency will provide effective preservation and maintenance of assets in such a way that will improve functionality and quality of assets, as well as encourage a more sustainable maintenance culture, for better service delivery.
While appreciating Governor Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola for creating an agency that will be looking into the thorough monitoring and good maintenance culture of the State of Osun Government Assets and facilities .
He enjoined all the concerned citizens to cooperate with the staff of the State of Osun Assets Management Agency on the mission to create an acceptable Assets and Facility Data Bank
