Still basking in the euphoria of his 80th birthday celebration, the Chief Commander, Prof. Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi has revealed the secret behind his continuation in playing music even at 80.
In a no hold barred encounter with Tope Olukole, he said, ‘I will play music until when I’m unable to play it’
In deep appreciation to Almighty God, Ebenezer Obey said, ‘I never thought I will be 80 but for the faithfulness of God. I can say thank you Jesus.’
Why? ‘When I traveled out of the country for my health challenge, I almost gave up, but God showed up. That’s why I can celebrate my birthday’
What next for him? ‘I’m fulfilled. I’m not running after anything in life again. Anything giving to me by God is an addition, which I will take joyfully’
Speaking further, ‘I will continue to impact into the lives of the young ones. I have a music foundation which is doing greatly in this area for people across the country. We shall continue with help of God and people around us’.
Moreover, he appreciate lots of people that showed up in the journey of life. ‘Lots of people showed up in my journey of life. Not less than 95% people love me and I cannot thank them enough’.
