The Saturday Osun-West Senatorial Bye Election Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s Candidate, Otunba Ademola Adeleke has been declared the winner of the District.
Otunba Adeleke won the election with ninety seven thousand, four hundred and eight to defeat Senator Mudashiru Hussein of the All Progressives Congress, APC who polled sixty six thousand, one hundred and sixteen.
The returning Officer for the election, Professor Olaide Lawal made the announcement at around half past one in the mid night.
Reacting to the victory, the State Chairman of the PDP, Mr Soji Adagunodo appreciated the electorate for supporting the party with a promise that the party would work towards clinching the State Governorship seat next year.
Otunba Adeleke will now complete the tenure of his elder brother, late Senator Isiaka Adeleke who died on the 23rd of April this year.
