It was a day full of glamour and joy in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital as the Governor of the state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun gave his first daughter, Miss Ayomide Amosun’s hand out in marriage to Mr. Oladipo Dabiri, the son of the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mrs. Abike Dabiri Erewa.
The wedding ceremony which attracted dignitaries from all walks of life had in attendance the Acting President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, serving and former Governors, All Progressive Congress party leaders, members of the National and State Houses of Assemblies, Royal fathers as well as business moguls.
The Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Justice Alpha Belgore “said what is happening today is a testimony of the kindness and good character of the couple’s parents” praying that God will continue to protect the union and give them the wisdom to live in perfect harmony.

Dogara who disclosed that any crime or evil acts perpetrated by people can be traced to the family which is the basic unit of the society enjoined Nigerians to devote more time to talking about how we can properly train and raise our children to be able to eradicate the evils in the society.
The Speaker noted that marriage is a race which he advised them not to break the rules praying that the end of the union would be greater than the beginning.
Advising the couple, the former President of Nigeria, Chief Olugesun Obasanjo revealed that there would always be marriage frictions but he urged them to iron out any differences before the following morning through proper communication.
Expressing his joy, the bride’s father and the Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun thanked all for honouring and sharing in his family’s happiness urging the couple to imbibe tolerance, trust and the fear of be as the foundation of their marriage.
Directing the cutting of the cake, the Acting President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo prayed for the couple to enjoy great favour, love and affection in their marital life.
Speaking with journalists, the groom’s mother, Mrs. Abike Dabiri Erewa enjoined the couple not to allow third party in the running of their home while she prayed for God’s guidance for the couple.
