As Nigerians are preparing for the forthcoming general elections in 2023, youths gave been urged to shun any forms of violence but rather vote for candidate of their choice.
This call was made on Friday at the Ramadan lecture organized by Mojagi Anlugbua of Ile-Nla Labiran Ibadan, Oloye Olajuwon Enitan Subaru.
Oloye Subar while speaking with journalists shortly after the lecture advised youths to shun vote buying, violence and other anti-social vices that affect their lives. He also noted that the youths deserve the best than allow themselves to be use as being use as political thugs.
While speaking on the reason for organizing the Ramadan lecture, Subar said, “I see this as part of my commitment to my society and community because as the mogaji of an extended family and dynasty I rule over and preside over people that are of different religions and part of my commitment is to bring this Ramadan lecture which will also motivate them during this holy season.
“Also this is like an avenue to give back to the society because this Ramadan lecture we also donate food for the people living in my community. Subar said.
In his message to the youths, Magaji Subar said, they must vote for their own choice without bribing or vote buying. I keep on sensitizing my people and I believe that the people that are part of my community are inspired to do better because my communication to them, my availability to them gave me confidence that my community is different.
In his lecture, titled “Living A Purposeful Life On Earth” Sheik Quazeem Ajisafe Akilapa called for attitudinal change of individual to achieve greater Nigeria.
The lecture was attended by Olubadan of Ibadanland represented by His wife, Queen Joyce Balogun and the Gbonka Balogun Olubadan Chief Kayode Afolabi Kadelu, Olowu of Owu -Ile, Oba Muhammed Raji Kazeem, Otun Iyalode of Ibadaland, High Chief Alhaja Amdalat Adekunle, Association of Mogaji of Ibadan amongst others.
