The Chairman, Agesinjawe Ifa International Herbal Home, Osogbo, Osun State, Chief Kayode Faniyi has
showered encomium on the Araba Awo of Osogbo land, Chief Yemi Elebuibon on the occasion of his 70th birthday, describing him as an outstanding elder statesman who has dedicated his life to the development, progress and unity of Yoruba tradition and culture.
Chief Faniyi, who is also the Agbongbon Awo of Osogbo land, commended Chief Elebuibon for his consistent and untiring efforts at sustaining the tradition and culture of Yoruba race.
Agbongbon Awo, extolled the achievements of the famous Osogbo born traditionalist, saying his contributions to the growth, peace and development of mankind transcended the continent of the entire Yoruba Kingdom.
Agbongbon Awo, agreeing that Chief Elebuibon remains outstanding on issues of promotion of culture and tradition not only in Nigeria, but globally.
The traditionalist described Chief Elebuibon as a true nationalist and
ardent promoter of Yoruba race who has contributed in no measure to the upliftment of humanity worldwide.
“I gained a lot from Chief Elebuibon traditionally, culturally and in all ramifications and I can say boldly that, he is one of the pillar of what I am today, by and large, he is my mentor.
” There are lot of famous men and women traditionalists worldwide who have passed through the Araba today, they are on their own now in their various countries, so his efforts cannot be over emphasized “, Agbongbon stated.
Agbongbon Awo added that, the numerous works Chief Elebuibon has produced both in ” Ewi”, Radio and Television Play, Lectures and CD players among others would continue to attract people’s interest as they have also touched people’s life for better.
The Agbongbon Awo, pointing that the productive life of Chief Elebuibon was devoted to selfless service not only to the nation but African continent.
