Doug Ford’s government is directing the LCBO to remove all products produced in Russia from its shelves.
Minister of Finance, Peter Bethlenfalvy, confirmed the move in a statement Friday.
“Ontario joins Canada’s allies in condemning the Russian government’s act of aggression against the Ukrainian people and we strongly support the federal government’s efforts to sanction the Russian government.
Earlier Friday, Ontario Liberal Leader Steven Del Duca called on the LCBO to pull all Russian vodka and alcohol products in a show of “solidarity with the people of Ukraine.”

In a release Friday morning, Del Duca said he’s already written LCBO President and CEO, Dr. George Soleas, urging the move to “send a clear message to the Russian leader his aggression will not be tolerated.”
