The Oyo state Executive members of women journalists led by its chairperson, Jadesola Ajibola has urged the public to be more conscious of and obey the traffic signs to the letter for their own safety.
Oyo state NAWOJ stated this in her message in continuation of its visit to intimate relevant Agencies of its myriad activities at NOA, OYO state on February 3, 2022 during a courtesy call.
Ajibola in her address pours eulogy on NOA for playing a noble role in the society through constant ,education, sensitization and mobilisation of the public.
She however bemoans the nonchalant attitude of some people to the pedestrian bridges, zebra crossing and other traffic signs which if not addressed can wreak havoc on the society.
On behalf of Oyo state NAWOJ, the chairperson seeks to strengthen its relationship with NOA in the area of giving wider coverage to the laudable programmes of the Agency and promises to carry it along for mutual interests..
The State director of NOA, Mrs, Folake Ayoola, in her response, promises to partner NAWOJ to raise more awareness for optimal success. She considers NAWOJ as a partner in progress and will ensure the relationship doesn’t fray at its edges . She pledges.
On the issue of sticking to the regulatory framework, warning and guidelines of the traffic signs, Mrs Ayoola promises to redouble the efforts of the Agency on public sensitization especially at the grassroots to cut more ice.
The oyo state NOA and NAWOJ will continue to partner to enlighten the public to be well informed and better formed the Director assures.
