The Senator representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has used metaphors to allege that massive corruption and looting of public funds is ongoing under President Muhammadu Buhari’s watch.
In a Facebook post published on Tuesday morning, the Senator compared the scale of the ongoing looting by political leaders to the arms deal scam allegedly committed by Sambo Dasuki, the former National Security Adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
He also predicted that the alleged embezzlement of the Paris-Club refund will be exposed.
In his post, Sani presented the Paris-Club refund as ‘France fortune,’ the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) as ‘Umbrella’, and ‘swept’ as the ideals of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC)
He wrote: “As the arms fortune hidden under the umbrella is known, the France fortune swept under the carpet will be known.”
The outspoken federal lawmaker also chided the federal government’s quest to borrow N39bn for the purchase of electricity meters.
“FG approving N39 billion loan for Discos to buy meters and not transformers makes not much sense,” he said.
It could be recalled that Sani had previously sparked a national discourse on the power play within Aso rock in President Buhari’s absence when he engaged in a well-celebrated social media discourse with wife of the President, Aisha Buhari using ‘hyenas’ and ‘jackals’.
