The Chairperson NAWOJ Oyo State chapter Comrade Jadesola Ajibola has expressed optimism that Nigeria will overcome the challenges facing it.
Comrade Ajibola stated this while giving the welcome address the National Prayers organised by the Nigeria Association of women Journalists Oyo state chapter.
She commended the great leadership of NAWOJ-led by Comrade Ladi Bala and the Assistant National Secretary of NAWOJ, Comrade Yinka Bode-Are for gathering women groups for prayers due to the happenings around the country.
It would be recalled that the national body of the association declared a nationwide prayers for various women groups across the country to interceded for Nigeria in the face of banditry, kidnapping and killings across the country.
In his remarks, the NUJ chairman Oyo State council admonished all women not to relent in praying for Nigeria.
He opined that prayers will help the country to achieve alot, while commending NAWOJ for the event.
The Mother of the Day and Matron of Oyo NAWOJ, Mrs Florence Ajimobi emphasised on the need to cry unto God for Devine intervention to end all evil vices being perpetrated by the enemies of the country.
The former first lady of Oyo State Chief Mrswho was represented by Mrs Omolara Farinloye, used the occasion to call on the Almighty God to help our leaders on ways to tackle of forms of crisis bedeviling the country.
She commended NAWOJ for the laudable initiative, leading Nigerian women to pray to lasting peace upon the nation.
Speaking that the event some Islamic clergy advised Nigerians to continue dialoguing with the Almighty God, ask for peace to reign in the country.

They condemned the evil acts against one another, noting that the Yoruba nation has remained insincere with one another. “Many of the yorubas who get into power do not assist others, that’s why many of us are seeing the other regions doing well, once they have an opportunity, they bring their people to work”.
The prayers was conducted in both Christians and Islamic way at the NUJ State Secretariat Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
Leading the Christian prayers was Pastor Wellington Aligbe Resident Pastor Living Faith Church representing Pastor Aderemi Adekunle the State Pastor of living faith church and Pastor Mrs Adekitan Adeagbo former Chairperson NAWOJ Oyo State, called on God to God Heal Our Land, Seeking divine intervention for the insecurity challenges facing Nigeria prayiing Fervently in supplication to God Almighty.
NAWOJ Oyo State chapter members and women coalition groups in the state raised their voices in prayer dressed.on red and black attires, no make up and earrings.
Other women bodies present at the events are: NOA, FIDA, NASFAT, SISTERS OF JANNA, NUPENG WOMEN WING, and DOWN TO HEART SPEAK OUT..
