Death toll rose to 25 after the body of the last missing person was recovered from a mudslide that engulfed a mountain village in South-Western China, state media reported on Wednesday.
More than 200 rescue workers participated in the search for survivors after a flash flood demolished 71 houses in the village of Gengdi in Sichuan province on Tuesday, the Xinhua news agency reported.
Four people were injured and one person was rescued from the village situated in Qiaowo township, Puge county, Xinhua reported.
Some 577 people from 157 families were affected by the disaster, according to the Weibo social media account of the Chengdu-based business newspaper Hongxing News.
In June, at least 10 people died and 93 people went missing after heavy rain brought the mountainside down on the village of Xinmo in Sichuan province, about 500 kilometres from Gengdi.
