For supposedly captivating in a fisticuff while on the job, two police officers, Corporal Ozimede Aidonojie and Constable Salubi Stephen at the modest community of Ebelle, Igueben Local Government Area of Edo, the Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Adamu has requested the assent of the two failing police officers.
The Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Lawan Jimeta had on Thursday coordinated the neighborhood Divisional Police Officer (DPO) to bring the warriors, who were shot, to the police base camp in Benin for cross examination.
In the one moment 36-second video which has since circulated around the web, the two law implementation operators were seen kicking, tearing and swearing at themselves along the street as certain local people endeavored to isolate them while others watched the demonstration of disgrace.
The state police representative, Mr Chidi Nwabuzor, who was quiet on the explanation behind the battle, said that passing by the record of the DPO, Ebelle Divisional Headquarters, the two police officers were drafted to an engine mishap scene yet rather stirred up some dust.
“The DPO has since yesterday (Wednesday) confined the two majority in the cell at Ebelle, however without plan of action to the magistrate of Police, notwithstanding, the official of police has requested him (DPO) to go to the state home office with the errant cops,” Nwabuzor said.
From Abuja, the Force representative, Mr Frank Mba revealed that the police officers were presently experiencing inward disciplinary approvals at the Edo State Police Command central station.
MBA included: “The power wishes to notify the overall population that this demonstration of disgrace is absolutely not in our character and we won’t overlook such indiscipline.”
