Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has declared the first COVID-19 loss in the state on Wednesday.
Makinde made this known on his Twitter handle at about 11:30 pm on Wednesday.
He said that the perished passed on at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, before his COVID-19 test outcome came out positive.
“The COVID-19 affirmation test for one presumed case returned positive.
“The patient kicked the bucket at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, before his outcome came out today – Wednesday; contact following has just initiated.
“As announced before, one affirmed case was moved to Lagos, along these lines, there are right now five dynamic cases in Oyo State,” Makinde tweeted.
Oyo State has 17 affirmed instances of COVID-19 as at Wednesday night, out of which one individual passed on and another was moved to Lagos.
