The Action Democratic Party (ADP) wants President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately pick the successor of his late Chief of Staff, Malam Abba Kyari.
National Publicity Secretary of the party, Prince Adelaja Adeoye said in a statement in Abuja that the late Chief of Staff to the President left a memory of uncommon commitment, sacrifice and dedication to progress, unity and peace of the country.
The ADP spokesman also said the government must pay attention to the nation’s health facilities at all levels of governance in the country.
While condoling the President for losing one of the best hands in his government, the party said “It is indeed a sad time for those who knew the erudite administrator, who was very vast and fiercely committed to his job. We pray his soul finds peace with God Almighty Allah, as he alone gives and takes.
“The instructive lesson for all is that COVID 19 is real and deadly irrespective of status, gender, creed or religion.
“We urge President Buahri not to allow a vacuum by quickly identifying a successor who can effectively occupy the very big shoes of Abba Kyari as a mark of honor to his memory of uncommon commitment, sacrifice and dedication to progress, unity and peace of this country.”
