Junior Lakosa has rated Jude Ighalo as the deadliest striker in the whole of Africa.
He made this statement today in an interview with writers lounge alongside other issues.
The 26 year old currently plays for Esperance of Tunisia in the Tunisian top flight league and he expressed willingness to keep working hard in a bid to return to the top and stake a claim again in the super Eagles.
He made his international debut for Nigeria on May 28 2018 in a friendly match against Dr. Congo after his impressive performance with former Nigerian league champions Kano Pillars, he was subsequently tipped as one of the home based players expected to break the dichotomy of home based players and their foreign counterparts in the national team but injury has not been fair to him.
Speaking on his football trials abroad, the Tunisia based player revealed his disappointment on his trip to Bulgaria as well as hope of going to Europe soon enough
“I am looking forward to go to Europe soon, at first whatever happens to me going to Bulgaria, it’s just unfortunate that I was involved with the wrong people around me, they told me I was going there for medical but it was a different ball game when I got there. They were just selfish, thinking about money. I don’t like speaking about that incident I just believe it happened for a reason so I put it behind me.”
Further speaking on his success story, he believes God’s grace has taken him far enough in life.
“What has helped me a lot to get to where I am is grace and hard work. I have been working to go beyond where I am today, it’s all about hard work and dedication, be humble and be focused in whatever dream you have.”
