A Senator representing Kaduna Central senatorial District, Kaduna State, Senator Shehu Sani has said that the crises in the All Progressives Congress has transformed the symbol of the party ( Broom) to a machete. Sani, who spoke at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja over the weekend, also said that party’s problem which started like a cat had been allowed to grow to tiger. He expressed a view that President Muhammadu Buhari was the only glue of the party. According to him, if you take away Buhari from APC, the party would fall apart.
He admonished those calling themselves as Pro-Buhari, stating that they were nothing but sycophants. According to him, there would not be Pro- Buhari and anti-Buhari in the same APC. Speaking on the problems in the party, the Senator said:”But a situation whereby some people are treated as outcasts and slaves, that will not augur well for the party and I said it repeatedly that it is wrong for anyone to simply categorize some people as pro-Buhari and some people as anti-Buhari, all of them within APC.
“Everyone, who is in the APC is pro-Buhari but the only thing is that some are not sycophants and some are sycophants. So, as far as I am concerned, the success of this party in the upcoming elections is dependent on how it would be able to manage the crisis and solve the problems.”
