Coronavirus: Osun Grand Imam Urges Muslims To Adhere To Govt’s Directives

The Grand Imam of the State of Osun, Sheikh Musa Animasahun, has called on Muslim faithful in the State to adhere to the directives of the government and appropriate agencies on how to curb the spread of Coronavirus in the State.

Speaking in the wake of the announcement by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of a total lockdown of the State, the Grand Imam called on Muslims to comply with directives of the Government and also use the period to seek the face of Almighty Allah.

Similarly, he urged adherents of other religions in the State to obey government’s instructions and follow safety measures, as well as pray fervently in their homes to mitigate the spread of the virus noting that “following lawful orders of authorities is an integral part of one’s faith.”

The foremost cleric charged muslims to always recite Quraan chapter 106, Chapter 2 verse 255 and Chapter 21 verse 87 in supplication to Allah at this trying period.
