As the annual Ramadan fasting comes to an end on Monday, House of Representatives member elect representing Iwo, Ayedire and Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency, Hon Yinusa Akintola Amobi, has admonished Muslim faithfuls in his Federal Constituency and Nigerians in general to reflect on the essence of the holy month of Ramadan and its message of tolerance as well as forgiveness of sins.
Amobi, gave this word of admonishment in his congratulatory message issued to felicitates with Muslims on the occasion of Idel-Fitri celebration holding tomorrow (Tuesday) globally.
He enjoins Muslims not to ignore the lessons of Ramadan by remaining within the virtues of the Holy Months and tolerating one another.
Amobi said, “Since Ramadan fasting symbolizes the period of spiritual rejuvenation, I urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue to put into practice the teachings of Prophet Muhammed.
“Part of such teachings is to be our brother’s keepers and ensure service to humanity. May our prayers during the holy month be answered and may our good deeds be rewarded by Allah.
“It is also important for us to move closer to Allah, even after the Eid-el-Fitri celebrations and eschew actions and deeds that are against His will and commandment. I wish everyone joyous and accident-free celebrations”.
Amobi said further that, ” I urged the faithful to use the Eid-el-Fitri celebrations to pray for the unity and peaceful co-existence of all the ethnic groups in the country as well”.
He commended the spirit of oneness and peaceful co-existence as well as demonstration of support by the people to the incumbent All Progressive Congress, APC led administration in Osun State.
“I want to assure you all once again that, I will not let you down with the confidence you reposed in me to represent you at the upper chamber by making sure that sharing of dividends of democracy reach out to all nook and cranny of my constituency”
“I thank you all in my Federal Constituency and the entire state for maintaining peaceful co-existence and for your commitment to the growth and development of the State”, Amobi concluded.
