The Oyo state government has tasked the two popular football clubs in the state, 3SC of Ibadan and Crown Fc of Ogbomoso on the need to get promoted to the elite division of the Nigeria Professional Football League at the end of the current campaign in the Nigeria National League.
This was disclosed by the Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Youths and Sports, Honourable Kazeem Bolarinwa while addressing newsmen this Thursday, in his office, at Agodi, secretariat said the targets for the two club sides is to do everything possible to get back to the apex level where they used to belong. Honourable Bolarinwa also expressed satisfaction with 3SC’s performance in their last match.
Honourable Bolarinwa said the governor being a sport enthusiasts, has promised the two club sides all the needed logistics and supports to excel,urging the management and players of both clubs to give their best to make the state proud.
He admonished the fans of both clubs to always support the two teams when playing both home and away.
You recall 3SC missed the chance gain promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League at the end of last season after losing scandalously in the playoff finals against Akwa Starlet.
Honourable Kazeem Bolarinwa further reiterated the present administration’s commitment to sport development in the state.
