The government said the law is aimed at bringing to an end armed banditry in Zamfara.
Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle spoke on Tuesday when he hosted leader of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria in Gusau.
He said following the inauguration of the sixth Assembly in the state, the bill will be prepared and forwarded to the legislature on Thursday, for deliberation and passage.
The Governor however advised criminals operating in the state to surrender and embrace peace, even as he promised to provide basic social amenities and infrastructure to the Fulani community wherever they may be in the state.
He particularly stated that he will provide drinking water, grazing lands and schools to the Fulani, and urged them to take their children to school.
He observed that one of the problems leading to insecurity in the state is lack of education.
Earlier, the leader of the Miyetti Allah, Alhaji Kiruwa’s Muhammad said he was at Gusau to congratulate the governor on his victory and seek for ways to attain lasting peace in the state.
Kiruwa urged the state government not to allow any criminal go free after arrest, also cautioned against unfair judgment.
The meeting was attended by the state Deputy-governor, Barr Mahadi Ali Gusau, immediate past Deputy-governor of the state, Mallam Ibrahim Wakkala Muhammad, PDP State Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Mallaha Gusau and SSG, Alhaji Bala Bello Maru.
Others were DG, Matawalle Campaign Organization, Alhaji Jamilu Aliyu Zannah, Emir of Anka, Alhaji Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad and head of all security agencies in the state.
