Lille coach Christophe Galtier has showered praise on Victor Osimhen after he scored his sixth goal in Ligue 1 for the club to climb to third place in the league table.
Galtier says Osimhen is an important player for the club who is doing a good job as a striker.
“Victor Osimhen scored again? It’s his job. In all the teams that are at the top, there is always a big striker. We must not forget all the collective work done around him. But obviously he is an important element,” Galtier said told a post-match conference.
“I’m very happy that we can win in this way, that our two forwards scored in this 4-4-2. This victory should allow us to trigger a real dynamic by showing all players that they can exist in this quality group,” he stated.
Osimhen remains top of the goals chart in France with six goals and two assists in seven league games for Lille.
