The local eateries are joined on the list by 11 additional B.C. dining destinations.
In Metro Vancouver, Boathouse in White Rock and Haven Kitchen + Bar in Langley made the list. Victoria played prominently among the best B.C. patio destinations with Boom + Batten, Finn’s Seafood Chops and Cocktails, and Glo Restaurant + Lounge all notching spots. The Butchart Gardens, The Dining Room in Brentwood Bay also made it to the list.
As to be expected, the Okanagan also rated high among the cross-country rankings with five restaurants named to the list including: BLOCK ONE Restaurant at 50th Parallel Winery in Lake Country; Miradoro at Tinhorn Creek Winery in Oliver; Shaughnessy’s Cove in Summerland. Home Block at CedarCreek Estate Winery and Old Vines Restaurant at Quails’ Gate Winery represented for Kelowna.
The list, which was released for Victoria Day long weekend — otherwise known as the “unofficial kickoff of patio season,” according to the online reservation platform — was created using data from more than one million diner reviews.
“April dining was up 4 per-cent in Canada (year over year), likely a result of warmer temperatures and Canadians enjoying an early start to outdoor dining,” said Matt Davis, Country Director, OpenTable Canada, in a press release. “Find a new favourite spot for patio season by exploring our list of the 100 Most Popular Outdoor Dining Restaurants, or by using our outdoor seating filter.”
